In the film, troubled teen Andy (Billy Barratt) and his visually impaired younger sister, Piper (Sora Wong), find a welcoming new home when they’re taken in by a quirky, if seemingly kindhearted, new foster mother, Laura (two-time Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins). But as the two soon discover, there’s more to Laura and the orphaned child in her care (Jonah Wren Phillips) than meets the eye: a woman still grieving the loss of her beloved daughter, harboring a twisted secret more disturbing than either Andy or Piper could ever imagine.
